In the piece above, Walter Russell Meade outlines a point I have emphasised recently: the US must pursue Putin all over the globe, from Libya and Syria to Venezuela and Mali. By smashing the Russian economy, we can crush Russian global adventurism for a century.
And, as Meade also emphasises, the West can also push Ratland into a geopolitical retreat from which it will never recover, given the momentous and growing difficulties it is and will face in coming years.
